7/8" Scarlet Corozo - JHB - Made in Ecuador
Corozo, also called vegetable ivory, is a material harvested from nuts of Tagua trees. The nuts are harvested after they fall naturally to the ground. So, not only are these buttons sustainable in the sense that they are deadstock, but they also are made out of a material that is harvested sustainably! Corozo buttons can come in a variety of colors due to the use of dyes, and they usually have a slight woodgrain look to them, but they feel more similar to plastic than wood.
These buttons are deadstock from a local sewing shop that recently closed their doors. We have a huge rotating rack full of JHB buttons, so check back often if you're looking for something fun and funky because we have a great variety and are working to get them listed as quickly as possible.
Not the size you need? We might have other sizes of this button. Just search the name in our search bar to pull up what else we have!
